Core Position Descriptions
There is a single core training position at the LMH. The successful applicant will receive broad exposure and training across the whole spectrum of acute and ambulatory neurology and cerebrovascular disease.

The LMH Stroke Unit offers a thrombolysis service with multimodal imaging. There are clear transfer pathways to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for endovascular therapy. The Unit lacks only plasmapharesis capability and inpatient video-EEG monitoring. Both of these services are readily available through our strong links to the RAH, as are neurosurgical services.

The trainee will rotate through all subspecialty clinics - movement disorders, stroke, neuroimmunology and epilepsy clinics, which also service some general neurology referrals. The trainee will receive excellent tuition in neurophysiology, with weekly sessions in both EMG/NCS and EEG.

The trainee will benefit from our strong links with neurorehabilitation services through Modbury hospital for both acute stroke and neurology.
