Recognition of Interventional Neuroradiology (INR) Training
Overview
The Parent Bodies (ANZSNR, ANZAN and NSA) have established a framework for the recognition of training in Interventional Neuroradiology (INR) across Australia and New Zealand. The former Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Interventional Neuroradiology (CCINR), has now been replaced by the Recognition of Training in Interventional Neuroradiology Standards Working Group (INR-SWG) in July 2026.
All Neurologists who work as Endovascular Neurointerventionalists (Interventional Neuroradiologists) are expected to meet the Standards in Recognition of Training. Neurologists who meet the requirements of the Standards are listed on the Register of INR practitioners (www.inrregister.org.au ) for three years, after which they need to re-apply to maintain their place on the Register.
Neurologist applicants are required to complete the application form and upload requested supporting documentation as specified. Email the application form and supporting documents to admin@anzan.org.au
