The department has 3 consultant neurologists and one stroke physician. There is a busy outpatient department with daily clinics. We aim to provide a well supported training environment with a neurologist always available to give in person advice in a friendly and collaborative approach to training.
The neurology department has 12 inpatient beds, the majority of which are stroke inpatients. A 24 hour stroke thrombolysis service is provided.
Cairns is a very 'liveable' city with lots of surrounding attractions including the rainforest and reef.
