Core Position Descriptions
Northern Beaches Hospital has a 6 bed stroke unit and a similar number of neurology inpatients. The Advanced Trainee is responsible for the management of the inpatients.
In addition, the Advanced Trainee will attend a weekly general neurology clinic. There is a weekly on-site neurophysiology clinic where the trainee will learn basic nerve conduction studies and EMG as well as be exposed to, and gain experience in more advanced techniques including nerve and muscle ultrasound.
There are scheduled EEG reading / teaching sessions each week.
